FAQ

Questions & Answers

Are you an accredited institution?

The term accreditation is used by traditional colleges and universities that issue transferable credits and degrees, such as a BA or MBA. Skilltrade, Inc. is a trade skills educational institution that provides comprehensive training for healthcare professionals and other skilled trades to effectively prepare them to work in their respective fields. Skilltrade issues certificates of completion to all students who successfully complete all required components of the program.

Skilltrade, Inc. is not an accredited organization; however, as a program requirement, students must take the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) exam during the final week of the program. Upon passing the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) exam, students will earn the CCMA credential.

This exam is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) and recognized by employers throughout the U.S.

Our organizational structure allows us to offer certain advantages to students, such as lower tuition costs and more flexibility in designing innovative or niche programs without the restrictions imposed by accrediting bodies. Additionally, we are able to develop programs more quickly in response to industry trends and demands. It also allows us to employ a more flexible admissions criteria, making education accessible to students who might not meet the standards of accredited institutions.

Can I transfer credits from another institution?

No. Skilltrade training programs are standalone courses; credits from other institutions cannot be applied.

What will I receive upon completion of the program?

Skilltrade issues certificates of completion to all students who successfully complete all required components of the program. As part of program requirements, students must take the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) exam during the final week of the program. Upon passing the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) exam, students will earn the CCMA credential and can download their official NHA Certification at that time.
