From Enrollment to Employment:

How Skilltrade Supports Learner Success

At Skilltrade, we guide every learner through a structured, supportive training experience designed to lead to national certification and real job placement. Over the course of 20 weeks, learners progress through interactive coursework, hands-on training, and personalized career support—ensuring they’re fully prepared for a meaningful role in healthcare.

Pre-Assessment
Before training begins, learners complete a quick skills and readiness assessment. This helps ensure they’re placed in the right track and receive any additional support they may need early on.
Begin Training
Learners receive access to our learning platform and start with foundational coursework. The training is flexible and designed to fit around work and life commitments, especially for adult learners.
Live Instructor Support
In addition to self-paced content, learners attend scheduled live sessions with certified instructors. These sessions reinforce core concepts and provide a space to ask questions and receive real-time feedback.
Peer-to-Peer Engagement
To boost motivation and reduce isolation, learners connect through discussion forums, group projects, and live virtual sessions—building a supportive learning community.
Externship
Once learners complete core training modules, they participate in a hands-on externship with a local or regional healthcare provider. This real-world experience reinforces classroom learning and builds job readiness.
Exam Prep and Official Testing
Learners receive structured review sessions and guided practice to prepare for their national certification exam (e.g., CCMA). We also handle test scheduling and registration support.
Complete Program
Upon successful completion of all training requirements and certification, learners officially graduate from the program—ready for employment.
Job Placement Assistance
Our Career Connections team steps in to help learners secure employment. We provide resume support, interview prep, employer introductions, and placement guidance—often in partnership with the workforce board or local employers.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are these programs eligible for WIOA or other grant funding?

Yes. Skilltrade’s training programs are fully eligible for WIOA and other state and federal workforce development grants. Our curriculum and delivery models are aligned with IET requirements and recognized by workforce boards across the country.

How does Skilltrade report outcomes and support compliance?

We provide full transparency and real-time reporting. Workforce boards receive access to dashboards that track enrollment, attendance, completion, credential attainment, and job placement. All documentation is organized to support quarterly reporting, audit compliance, and performance metrics.

Can learners be matched with local employers, or only through Skilltrade’s national network?

Both. While we maintain a growing national employer network, we prioritize local employer engagement wherever possible. We partner with regional hospitals, clinics, and health systems to offer externships, job placement, and long-term workforce alignment in your community.

What support is provided for underserved populations (e.g., adult learners, ESL, low-income)?

Skilltrade is built for equity in access. Our programs include wraparound support such as live mentorship, self-paced content, academic coaching, and onboarding tools. We also work with your board to ensure accessibility for low-income learners, single parents, adult education participants, and ESL populations.
